Harmony Fun Run 2018

Healthy living, harmony in diversity.

This year’s Harmony Fun Run 2018 is an inaugural event, a fun run of 5km (starting route at Pasir Ris Costa Lawn) organized by Al-Istighfar Mosque. The Harmony Fun Run intends to promote healthy lifestyle, interracial and interfaith harmony among Singaporeans. This event is a collaboration with Inter-Religious Confidence Circle (IRCC), MCCY, Pasir Ris Grassroots Organization, Health Promotion Board, Mosque Sector and Run4life.co and Qirom Consulting P/L

       

FAQ

1. Is there race day registration?
No race-day registration. Registration must be done earlier during the registration period which is from 9 July to 13 August 2018 between 10.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 10.00am to 12.00pm on Saturday. You can register and make payment online ( visa, mastercard) or come to the mosque itself to register and pay cash or Nets over the counter. We do not accept cheque. The registration fee is $10.

2. How to register and pay online:
Do the following steps:

Step3: Click Buy Button
Step4: Click Viewcart button
Step5: Click Proceed to Checkout
Step6: Enter all information in the form (e.g. Tel, IC, T shirt size)
Step7: Click Continue to Payment button
Step9: Enter Visa Card No, Expiry date of the card ( xx/20xx) and CVV number
Step10: Click box I have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of the race.
Step11: Click Pay button
 A congratulatory message will appear on screen, if the transaction is successful. A receipt will be sent to you via your email

3. What is the minimum age requirement for this event?
There is no age limit but younger participants below 15 years old must be accompanied by parents,
guardian, care giver or older siblings for safety purposes. If you are above 69 years old, you should consult your doctor
and seek his advice and clearance before participating in any form of exercise and activity. 

4. What is the overall event schedule?
7.00am     Arrival of Participants,
8.00am    Warm-Up by Run4life Trainer,
8.30am    Flag off Run, (Runners who completes the run will receive a participating medal),
9.30am    Emcee Mr Suhaimi Yusoff, Mass & Cool Down Exercise by HPB Trainer,
10.30am  Plaque Presentation
12.00pm  End of Event.

5. Is there a time limit to complete the 5KM?
The run itself will normally take between thirty, forty five minutes to one hour and forty five minutes to complete
depending on the runners’ pace. The event will finish by 12.00pm.

6. Where and when may I pick up my Fun Pack?
You can collect your Fun Pack at the Mosque Level 1, Customer Service Front Counter,  about 2 weeks before the event commence.
starting from 3 September to 8 September 2018. Time: Mon-Friday 9.00 am-6.00 pm & Saturday 9.00 am-1.00 pm. All
participants are highly encouraged to collect their Fun Pack within the date given. There will be no issuing of Fun Packs on race day.

7. What is in the Fun Pack?
Bag Pack,
T-Shirt 100% poly DriFit,
Sponsors pamphlets,
Medal,
Drink, Bread, Fruit, Biscuit,
Medical Aid.

8. Can someone else pick up my Fun Pack for me?
Fun Pack may be picked by a friend or family member. Those who are collecting on behalf of a friend or family member
must show theirs along with participant’s IC as proof before they are allowed to collect the Fun Pack.

9. Are strollers allowed on the route?
Strollers are allowed on the route. We ask that you be considerate of other participants
when manoeuvring your stroller through the route.

10. What if I don’t want to run? Can I walk?
Yes, you can walk if you don’t want to run. We ask that all participants who plan on walking
the route delay their start until after the runners have started.

11. Are animals allowed on the course?
Sorry we don’t allow any animals unless it is really necessary to assist in the run.

12. I can’t make it to the race. May I transfer my registration to someone else?
No. Due to volume of registrants we are unable to do transfers.

13. Can I get a refund?
Sorry we do not issue refunds. We hope all registrants are able to participate in the race.
Whether you participate in the race or not, please consider your registration fee as contribution to the set up of the run.

14. What is the dress code?
Sports attire, preferably modest in nature. Running t-shirt is also provided in the Fun Pack.
 There will be no exchange of T shirts once you have received it. Ensure you fill in the correct size during registration.

16. How many water stations are there?
There are 2. At designated sites along the routes in addition to starting/end points.

17. Is there a bag check for participants?
No. But we reserve the right to open and examine item for security purposes.

18. Is there a bag deposit area?
Sorry No. Due to limited space we are not able to provide bag deposit area. We advise that you
carry your own bags.
 
19. Is there an ambulance on standby? What if I feel unwell during the run?
Yes. Stop your run and our mobile medic will attend to you. There will be roving mobile
medics along the route at Area 1, 2, 3 to attend to medical cases.

20. Are there showers and restrooms available?
There are public facilities along the route which you can use. Please keep the area clean after use.

21. What happens if it rains?
Unless it is a Category 1 storm with thunder and lightning, the event shall proceed pending final decision from
the organiser. Participants may gather at the shelters and pavilions during wet weather but we seek your cooperation
not to occupy the whole space and share the space with the public park users.
